Our business has recently been given a boost thanks to an Assistance To Industry grant from Blackburn with Darwen Council. Due to this grant we have been able to upgrade our print finishing equipment, it has allowed us to take on a new employee, and we are also considering an apprentice position.
As our Commercial Manager Chris Durham stated: “Ronset is constantly looking at new technology to improve print production levels and make the whole process more efficient. It was with this in mind that we approached the Council and I’ve got to say the help and support we received in obtaining the grant from Matthew and the team has been first class.
On the back of this we have taken on another member of staff whose skill level and enthusiasm will further enhance the Ronset growth plan.”
So good news all-round and it is great to see the Council being so proactive in helping businesses grow and take on new staff which can only be good for the local economy. Talking about the Assistance To Industry grants Councillor Phil Riley, who is the Executive Member for Regeneration, said: “Encouraging businesses to grow and attracting others to come and invest in the borough is one of our key priorities as a council. “Through having flourishing business and industrial sectors in Blackburn with Darwen we can increase economic growth, employment prospects and with that a good quality of life for residents.
I’m delighted to see two great firms thriving and glad that we were able to support them.”
So our business growth continues apace as we look towards next year and providing an even better and fuller service to all our clients, old and new. For more information on this grant there was an article in The Shuttle which you can find at the following link: Assistance To Industry Grant .
